About | Highway 49 Blues Band

This is a band that has been waiting to get "back together" since the 1950's and 1960's. About 9 years ago we formed the core of a band we call the Highway 49 Blues Band. The band's focus is on blues-based reproductions of old and new blues tunes, southern rock, Motown classics, Rockabilly, and good ol' delta honky tonk classics.

The Highway 49 Blues Band is Lisa Rowland (vocals), Larry Pruitt (bass guitar), George "Butch" Scaife (lead and rhythm guitar), Randy Rhodes (lead and rhythm guitar), and Luke Matheson (acoustic drums).

With over 100 years of performance talent on the stage, you will be hard-pressed to keep your seat during their show. Some of the tunes may be oldies but they are definitely goodies after the Highway 49 Blues Band adds their collective and talented touches to the art they create.
“When you’re an awesome band, you draw crowds just to hear you play. But NO ONE can bear to sit still, you make people want to dance! That is a terrific feat, only the best bands can do that. I applaud you and love your music.”

Janet M. Kell, Sheridan

"The Highway 49 band is amazing. What makes the band so great is the music, the people, and the fun times we have. They put a lot into doing what they love and that's just incredible and rare nowadays. I love the music they play and I love them all. The Highway 49 band is my top band and I will always be a fan."

Brandon Menotti, Pine Bluff.

"Highway 49 is such an awesome band, you are guaranteed a great time. Their variety of music and interaction with the crowd is great. Don't miss their performance."

Debbie Tole, Pine Bluff.
