LISA ROWLAND (Lead Vocals)

Music has been my constant companion for as long as I can remember. I never took voice lessons, but that never stopped me from singing along - loudly - whether it was Three Dog Night on the front porch when I was 10, Black Oak Arkansas when I was dragging Cherry Street at 15, or Willie Nelson as I peeled potatoes in a dingy kitchen as a teenage bride. I made my living with my voice for more than 20 years as a radio announcer, but I never sang in public until a couple of years ago. Now, thanks to these amazing musicians, the music I've carried inside all these years is starting to come out. And I'm having a ball.
GEORGE "BUTCH" SCAIFE

(Lead Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitar)

Born in the Delta in West Helena, Arkansas, I was raised on Country Music, Delta Blues, "Delta Boogie", and Rockabilly. All of those musical influences inspired me as an artist and a little flavor of each genre is prevalent in my style of playing.

Now, the Highway 49 Blues Band is bringing the Delta Sound to Central Arkansas. I am extremely fortunate and proud to be working with 4 other incredibly talented people that make up this band!

Inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame several years ago, I am proud to be a member of an organization that is preserving the delta sound and heritage.

RANDY RHODES

(Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitar)

Music has always been my best friend, it's taken me through good times, hard times and back again.

33 years playing in honky tonks, juke joints, clubs, churches, and outdoor festivals.

My dad and four brothers all played guitar. l love the guitar, and it’s been a big part of my life.

Influences: Robert Cray, Albert Collins and Billy Gibbons among many. I love the blues and I’m ready to play again with Highway 49.
LARRY "Big Dawg" PRUITT

(Bass Guitar)

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing guitar in church at the age of 12, and started playing the bass two years later. By the late 1970's, I was playing professionally, and I've been in one band or another ever since. I love blues and rock music, but I play country, too, and Highway 49 does a little of it all. We're good friends having a good time together, and even after all these years, I still learn a thing or two every time we play.

LUKE MATHESON

(Drums)

I began playing drums at eight years old, and have been playing ever since. I have 30 years of experience playing everything from gospel to blues, rock, country, and everything in between.

I have performed for two award winning gospel groups to include playing for crowds as small as five all the way up to 30,000 plus.

I am a US Army veteran who spent several years playing as an independent drummer for several artists across Arkansas before becoming a member of the Highway 49 Blues Band.
